In the plans, Dennis.... hopefully in the next week. Need to be a bit careful of timing... if I get all the Daytona parts out in the one place at the one time, the sheer volume will surprise me, so it will definitely shock the woman I live with

Quick update, for anyone interested.... these parts departed my hands this morning, on their way to Bezerk RC (
https://www.facebook.com/BezerkRc) for reproduction. Local guys with a reputation for fine work.
Look forward to getting them back and continuing my builds... will completely update this thread when they arrive.

Parts are definitely coming together for this..... so in lieu of any new information, here's a six monthly update
This photo was taken before I got the Bezerk RC repro parts and a big pile of wheels and tyres, but it will have to do for now. More info when I've actually done something....

All the things, Dennis..... all the things.

At this stage, the only body I have that will fit the nitro version is the McAllister Jaguar... the Protoform Peugeot is too low for the engine, and probably the gearbox too. I'm hoping to find a couple of Nascar-style bodies somewhere.... be better for my meagre painting skills.

I’ve always thought the nitro 1/10 pan cars were so cool looking. And the Schumacher was one of the best looking with the angle engine mount like that. Ill be watching to see how this turns out.

Quick update... got a couple of already painted bodies in, which will be perfect for two of my project cars....
Firstly, a nice blobby European thing, to suit it's Schumacher origins:
Secondly, some heavyweight American panels, to match with the ASSociated front end:
Also got a brightly painted Protoform Group C body, which would have been excellent to use, except the engine head gets in the way! Maybe if I go an electric conversion for one:

Quick update on this long-running project... collecting this carp for so long, and not finishing one car, I decided that enough was enough. A local guy here offered me $300 cash on pickup, and with the way things are at the moment, I accepted. All my Daytona stuff (cars, bodies, parts, wheels and tyres, even the box and instructions) is now gone, and I have a nice clean space to start work on more Kyosho runners.
