Sorry for digging this up, it came up in a search for the upgrade. Just wish to confirm that the B4 and T4 use the same slipper clutch and top shaft? I want to retrofit the T4/B4 clutch to my T3 team truck. Will the topshaft from the T4 or B4 work in the T3 trans?

Can the original stealth spur gear be used with the b4 shaft and slipper assembly?

I just picked up a b4 topshaft and v2 clutch assembly on ebay that also comes with an 81 tooth spur gear and 21t pinion.

My original RC10T stealth spur is 87 tooth and I have been using 18 or 19 tooth pinion with old brushed motors.

I have a 17.5 brushless motor on the way. Do these brushless motors have enough torque increase to consider gearing down to the 81 spur with a bigger pinion? Given that the old stealth is 2.25 ratio, I'm curious what optimal gearing should look like for stock class.

EMC - check out the gearing recommendations in the RC10 World's re-release manual for 17.5 brushless. It recommends an 81T spur (AE part# 9651) which is made special for the slipper pads. A 30T pinion or a 21T if your going with advance timing speed control settings. I'm not familiar with messing around with advance timing settings. This is taken from the manual and are recommended starting ratio's. This is all with the Stealth transmission.

Your going to need 3mm X 8mm motor screws and some good washers. You may need to file a little on the top motor screw slot on your motor plate.
