After work, put some electronics in my newly acquired B4.

Hitec Shredder receiver, Yokomo SCR-BR esc, and an Flight Test servo. I don't have many extra Reedy motors, so I used a Trinity Speed Gems Pro (15X2).

I made a couple chassis plates today. Need to make trays for the ESC’s still. They’re just sitting on foam.

That’s what it would look like factory wheelbase. I still need to make mounts for the body too.

And the fact that the "Top" points to the bottom of the chassis

I've got a Tyco SuperRebound that's very similar. At our previous house I used to really enjoy playing with the dogs in the back yard (they needed to burn off some young dog energy :D ). The grass was short and thin so it ran wide open almost like on pavement. That thing ruled the yard! There was a tree with perfect surface roots that with a running start it could get 4 feet up before arcing off backwards. I've got too nice of grass now and it just floats off the ground. That is a really fun designed RC though!

Reassembled 57 after making the measurements I needed and took a few pics with it and it's big brother. Also started messing with the printers again so I can start printing parts again :)

Vintage event in Macon, France, next week, with onroad focus... Time to vintage my M05 and to get it ready for next week-end.

I did a quite classical theme for a mini...

It's far from perfect, but this is good enough to ru(i)n it on a track :-)

Slowly but surely getting there with my parts bin specials Tamiya M03 builds - takes a fair amount of time just to find all the bits and pieces required for doing three of these builds at once. Just building the rear end and joining it to the front half of the chassis required setting aside more than 90 10mm self-tappers....
MiniBuilds.jpg
Still got shocks, bumpers, steering, rear axles, wheels and tyres, and electricals to do.... and then paint bodies. Should keep me busy for a while longer.

Then I can get started on my M05 rebuilds!  :?

I started to build what Kyosho never did.

Fitted up a RJ Speed Jeep crawler body on one of my Blackfoots, using Monster Beetle mounts. I need to narrow the rear mounts a little but the overall fit is better than I'd hoped for.

Well rain\thunder storms kinda put a damper on my original race plans still put down a lot of practice laps on the indoor carpet with the JRX Pro. It handles surprisingly well on high grip carpet to be honest and despite being a 21.5 motor it was keeping pace with some of the modern stuff running on 17.5. just proving that power isn't everything! Really excited to run this against other vintage buggies whenever i can get some together to run.

Not today, but the two previous ones, there was a vintage event with onroad focus with a very nice big track adapted up to big scale rc cars (if you want to have a look to the track, here is the site of the club : http://www.camm71.fr/)...

Went there with both my son and my daughter on Saturday. I did not make much pictures this time.
The weather was bad on Saturday, and it was raining the whole morning. I ran my Big Bear and my Lunchbox while my kids were mainly running their lunchboxs... The Big Bear transmission has now about 2 hours Lipo 2S run with heavy load and it is still alive. I'll open it over the week-end...
On the afternoon, we got the track dry for some time, so the Gas powered cars were running between the electric session and we had less run time...
I ran the M05, the M06, the Spider TF-3 and a short run of the Fantom. Everything was fine, and I really need to consider more powerfull motors for next time.
My son broke 4 of his cars, and my daughter did start here TT01E CLK GTR for the first time that day...

There was also a nice Tamiya collection exposition by the organizer of the event... And there was quite a few rarities...

We were 4 to use the track in the morning with our Lunchboxes, and that was quite a good idea to have them looking at the weather...

On Sunday, I went back with my daugher only, as my son did not have much cars to run and lot to repair...
I did ran again the same cars as the day before, but under the sun and on a dry track. There was more people on the track and the podium was quite crowded during the EP runs (up to 25 cars on the track simultaneously). I'm proud of my daughter as she is now able to do quite a few laps without sending her car outside... Once I finished all my packs, I went to join the guys putting back the cars on the track, as my daughter made them work quite a lot... My daughter love flowers, so that is a good picture for her first day on a sunny track :-)

Anyway, that was a lot of runs and a lot of fun...

Was digging through a junk box and found an old Wii power supply that had it's cord chewed up. I noticed that it had enough output to be usable.
Screenshot_20230704_155051_Gallery.jpg
So I fixed the cord and fitted it to a Traxxas RTR charger.
Screenshot_20230704_155115_Gallery.jpg
While it isn't anything special, it is an extra charger.

Not today, but I did a little work on the B4. New wheels and tires, RPM front bumper and rear carriers, new rear tower, and fitted a wing.
Screenshot_20230704_155620_Gallery.jpg
I couldn't bring myself to play $15 for a B4 wing, so I trimmed one that I already had. It is a JConcepts Finnisher from a RC10 Protector body. The new paint matched up pretty good.
