That bag looks to be tampered with. Never seen AE bag the shock set like that. Just the tool with bodies, shafts and I only see 2 shock caps? Aluminium caps are for sure possible but I need better proof.

The mount on my first B2 looked a bit different, it didn't have the extra material next to the front screw
The front screw hole looked just like the back one and they always snapped just behind the front screw hole

Ok, I sort of remember this too, but I have yet to find an example. The B2 that was at Gene Hustings house did not have the suspension mounts you are talking about, and that car even has white bell cranks.

As far as I know they just added kick up and changed to bigger screws. I somehow remember less material as well but I have no proof. My kit has the white parts (should be early) and the rear mounts are as shown, so if anyone has a picture of a different rear suspension mount, I would love to add that.

To be honest im not sure as its been awhile since ive seen a old "new" kit.
4 shock caps are included in that pack.
In another pack there is the shock seals etc.
What was missing when i aquired it all was the springs and spring perches.
Those parts are usually in bag with the bodies?

I'll have to dig through my old B2 spare parts bin to see if I can find one

Here you go Rod :D
Screws were the same size, they just added material after the front "cone"

Oh and Curtis shared this photo of the B2 prototype a while back
I'd love to see a close up of the rear suspension mount

I just looked closely at my NIB early B2, and the mounts are the same as yours (with less material).  I must be getting blind! It's hard to see the difference in bad light!

Anyway, thank you for bringing this to light! 8) I added the information.

Hey Rod, are the B2's 6877 tires 2.125" vs the 6878 tires, which are 2.2"?
