Thanks
Almost certain it's 27 turn stock and it does have a staked endbell.
Magnets don't feel real strong either.
Leaning towards Twister now as I just found another motor, very similar, with Twister label.
Though the Twister labeled motor seems to have better magnets.

for which car is this? Metric with bigger bearing on the inside versus outside. But most remarkable lower and upper pivot points don't line up.

not exactly sure but they look similar to the front steering knuckles for my sc10 4x4 or the shaft driven sc10 4x4. Got a pair for it and never installed them but haven't seen them in a few years so don't quote me on it. Be a place to start the look though maybe...

I think they are a bit older than that. I assumed they'd go on an onroad car: with a balstud up and under and swingarms top and bottom: no C carrier

BME and wide Hot Trick Front end. Hot Trick and Composite Craft both made the wider front shock towers!

It's a BME nose plate too. Pushes the right front out.

Correct, that offset is tricky- I’m having difficulty fitting a front sock tower. I found a wide one made by Trinity and the mount holes don’t line up. The front shocks also need to be different lengths. I’m going to need to do some research.

The BME kick-up is essentially half a stock width kick-up and half a Hot Trick wide kick-up. Used a BME specific tower or one of these Hot Trick oval towers:
Or you can do what I did and make your own (the aluminum one).

Noticed this Tamiya factory built Road Wizard based speed run car in the June '90 issue of RCCA and was hoping to ID the body. Is it actually "off the shelf" like the article mentions?
Also, if you've seen any other pics (or videos) of this car on the WWW please give links.

Trying to verify who made these plates. Not sure the correct technical name---motor plate, pod side plate, axle carrier plate. I picked up a few sets of these with some vintage drag cars and parts. The components that were used with them were mostly AE 12L. The guy I bought them from said he thought they were Hogue but couldn't remember for sure. Not sure if they are drag specific or possibly a carry over from pan cars. Anyone recognize these?

The Houge Illusion used them, and they probably were harvested off another rig as well.

Thanks Jeff! That was even more helpful, because the complete car that I have has that entire rear pod/axle on it. Even the same wing mounts.
