Can I play the 1:8 bodies game too? Please?
Got this 1:8 Indy style body and rear wing, sitting here doing nothing. Painted gold, decals are mostly Miller ("Welcome to Miller Time", "Miller High Life", "American", etc.), integrated front wing, wire mounted rear wing.... but the only detail that may be able to ID it from others is one decal in white that says "Penske PC..17".
Any ideas? Or do I need to get a photo taken??

Some pics of my Indy style body, to aid in identification. Note Tamiya tool for scale.

Is there any embossment on the back. Is it Associated? Is there a model #? I'm not sure about the oil cooler scoop in the back, it's kind of throwing me off. The Mk6a & b had those scoops like that but this is more like a Mk8 body with side air dams and the oil cooler scoop on the back kind of like some customer car variation, I don't remember seing an Assoc. body like this.

Here is a picture I captured from Gene Hustings Racing Videos #3 showing all the bodies from around 1973 that were available from Associated. I see the 2 early open wheel bodies and the Ferrari body that I have. Judging by this picture I have the Eagle body which I had thought was the Lotus but the picture clearly shows the Lotus 72 1st on the lower left and then the Eagle next to it.

I can only deduce by reviewing similar AE pics that it is infact Associated, but that isn't confirmed by any means. There are no markings on the body to confirm anything. But based on the pics I have I beiieve it is an EARLY body.........back then they might not have made any markings in the molds.

The #22 is a Ti22 that was a popular early body and Gene Husting himself used one on his very successful 1/8 racers. Not sure what the blue and white is but maybe I can find out something on the DVD. The one behind that is a Ford Torino or whatever the Ford Nascar body was back in the late 60's early 70's.

Cuda has a different scoop on the hood, I was thinking Challenger. Yes, the other is a Torino. The Superbird is cool. Bolink had bird, but I never liked it's proportions.
