That Gulf Porsche is awesome. It's got a nice stance to it. What brand and colors of paint did you use. I'm getting the itch to do a new body for my L4, maybe a Greenwood Corvette. Excellent job.

Thanks, well I have been working on this car very hard. I need to get a battery and it will be running. it has a motor, and Radio in it. its almost ready to go. I need to update the pictures. it has been updated with a rc12L4 rear axle and dynamic front susp. I dont want to have the problem like I did at the Vornats. this car now runs off the shelf modern tires. new servo I will be running it very soon.

What are you going to use for running gear? (esc, motor...etc)

the motor I dont know I bought it at the Vornats, Brandon G said it was a stock motor. I would like to have a few more :D its a rocket. it has a LRP Quantum 2 compeition speed control. Futaba S9601 srevo and a R603FF 2.4 reciever. I am going to build a twin to this car because I like it so much. the Bodies will be different thats all. Yes I still need to make the wires neater.

I like that setup (especially the front bumper), it looks like it will perform really well. I have a very similar setup for my 12lw runner (Composite Craft oval chassis, dynamic strut front end...etc.), I am getting ready to move the DSFE back one hole to the rear (by drilling and countersinking a new pair of holes) to convert it from a oval racer to a road racer so it will be a little more nimble on inside carpet tracks, (I will post before and after pics later). I just have to repair some split carbon fiber around one of the new holes :x

I just got the other chassis to finish my second car in todays mail Thanks Ruffy you Rock. I have a new oval chassis to but its to long for the body I want to run so I just replaced it with a regular Composite craft. I am going to put a stock front end on one and the dynamic strut on the other one. then compaire how they run.

*This is built entirely from spare parts that I have accumulated over the years* I haven't picked out a body yet...but mrlexan's VW Golf is looking pretty good, (even if it doesn't qualify for vintage racing :) ) I have a Joel Johnson handout from ~1993 that I plan to use as the motor (it's not very good for offroad, so I will try it here). I plan to use a Tekin G11 pro for the esc. The servo is a JR 4721 I won as a door prize (it's a large servo for 1/12 racing, but it's fast and coreless).

That is very nice. all of my 12L's are built from parts also but the 1 I raced at the Vornats. I like the look of that chassis. check the wheel base before you buy a body. Mr Lexans bodies are great but all of them dont fit the 12L's some are for the 12I-E's and their about 1/4 shorter than the 12L's. my BRE Datsun was for my 12L but it wouldnt fit so it went on my 12I.

Thanks for the tip, I may have to "settle" for a body like I have for my fiberglass 12lw, it is an "old" Bolink 2020-L Porsche 962 short wheel base I picked up on ebay and is part of a restoration I have been slowly getting together (this 12lw is a retired racer, now a shelf queen...maybe). This body does not have defined rear wheel arches, and may be the route I will need to go with my carbon 12lw :|
