With a little careful heat gun work you could turn that '69 lexan body into a '70. That split in the grill will mold back with the right encouragement and the right tool, I.E. flat screwdriver..

*UPDATE...
As hard as I tried, I just couldn't force myself to love the look of the Proline body on the 'Foot.
I've had a few Monster Beetle parts sitting around for
years....just no body to go with them...until now.
I got lucky and somehow scored a
perfect (of course less the grade-school custom paint) original MB body on E-bag.
This thing must have been stashed away for a long time, since it's the original early white plastic version.
I haven't even found a scratch on it..no mods whatsoever.
I can't wait to strip it and paint it.
I put together a set of custom body mounts made from the damaged original Blackfoot stuff & old Ultima parts.

Seriously, I don't come into the Tamiya forum often enough.

Thanks guys,
I'd like to find a set of NOS aftermarket aluminum nerf bars next..then start on a few more details.
I'm pretty happy with the color, it's brighter than the cap suggested..may try to color sand and buff the thing too..
I'm lovin' the Fusion paint..(it worked great on my other Baja project)..no primer needed! (Can has about 4 times the paint volume at roughly half the cost of the typical hobby shop stuff.)

You can send a message to Crunchy550 on ebay. He's a good guy that has that sort of stuff laying around (he's not one of those chop shop gougers). If he's got some he will post them for what should be a fair going rate. You may need to run them upside down or get creative if you want them up by the body.
There are also a guy or two over on Tamiya Club that make 'em now because of the re-re's. I don't know much about them though, because I haven't been on that site in a long while.
I think this thing is way cool. Something about it. Usually those chassis look odd, but it just looks so perfect under that bug body.

Thanks!
I'm looking for something similar to what's on this that I can polish up:

There's someone on e-bay that's making some pretty trick aluminum stuff for the MB, Blackfoot & Frog...I might be looking into a few
more goodies by the time this thing is done.
