Thanks, I'm using Tamiya X-6 Orange.
Is that just regular brush on paint or is it a paint pen of sorts? how "durable" is it?

Sharpie is your friend

For scratched black shock caps, use a Sharpie pen to touch them up!

Sounds like they can just tape it off! You know, if a little gets in, it's not that big a deal!
I talked to our planner today. He's going to give the anodizer a call today. I will let you know.

Well the anodizing of the shocks is just not in the works. I have yet to find out from treehugger if he can get them powder coated with the next batch in satin black. Paul???? :P

The chassis is done! Pictures coming soon!

The body? I have finally figured out the paint scheme! I will not show what it is based off of  But it is in honour of the RCAF!

Thanks guys, I'm going to have a very hard time running it. But I made it to run! I may  and :) at the same time!

I have not driven a RC10T since 92 maybe 93. I think I sold my original 10T when I got my RC10GT. It's going to be fun to drive, I just know it!

HOW TO POLISH YOUR CRUSTY OLD SHAFT

The original shafts are all crusty and pitted.

Image

I don't have the coin now to buy new ones! So you put the shaft in the Dremel chuck and use a strip of 600 grit (or finer) sand paper and polish it!

Image

After you polish one end of the shaft, flip it and do the other. See how the threaded end (in chuck) is shiny and the piston end is dull! I finish off with a cotton rag to realy get it smooth

Image
You can get the really fine stuff in the automotive paint section of Walmart or any auto parts store; 1000-1500 grit. I've read that if you sand them too much you can reduce the diameter and lead to leaks, but I don't know if that's true.

Try some mag wheel polish to get them really smooth. It's not abrasive enough to actually 'cut', like 'rubbing compound', but it will put a good finish on something that's already pretty smooth.
