I have a lot on the go with work recently and only slept in my own bed for 2 nights in the last 2 months I'm missing my wife and my fur kids a lot, BUT I was home long enough to grab some things to do while I am away at work. I managed to swing by PM Hobby Craft and see my buddy Rod for some goodies. I also manage to catch my RC10L in the office before leaving town too. I'm quite tired, but here is a look at the side of my office that has all my current RC stuff on it. Where to start More to come soon.

So some people I know want to see black parts instead of aluminum, so I swapped out the right have just to see and I kinda like both. Anyone have a preference????

The aluminum breaks up the blackness and adds visual interest. That would be my preference.

By the way, what are "fur kids"?...

what's what I thought, but I went ahead and stripped away the aluminum just to see what I wasn't seeing The argument was that the gold would pop more, which it does.
here is what it looks like so far...pretty much complete mechanically, just waiting on gold body posts from Atlas
my fur kids are my 2 dogs and 2 cats...I don't really miss the cats, but my dogs are fun. I got to keep the dogs away from the RCs though. I have a B4 body that looks like it was picked up by a scale model car picker at a junk yard

I ended up using Atlas suspension mounts (0deg 3deg is nice for me)RPM Team Car rear arms, B4 hubs with B44 rear CVA. I used 4 shims on the outside of the carrier along with the B4 spacer. I think I should us a rubber o-ring to limit the shock compression to prevent binding though.

yes, a John Player Special paint job would be very well suited. I was thinking of a Guinness them though, named after one of my dogs or the beer that my dog is named after

Got most of the electronics in. A Savox SC-1251MG controls the steering, once I get a servo arm , The esc is a Tekin FXR, which will run a Trinity D3 (likely) brushed motor. For now I got a Reedy Challenger 19t Spec motor. And for a battery, a TrakPower 3200 2 cell lipo.

just noticed when putting some new screws in the chassis that the Atlas rear mounts do toe in and the I had them on the wrong side

i should have just not mentioned it, but I wanted everyone else to know that they are not 0 degree toe in. Not sure what angle they are, but will ask Atlas and get back to the post.

Did that happen to solve your binding issue?

to the naked eye, the toe in difference didn't influence the amount that the bone was in the out drive. There isn't any binding when just depressing the suspension with my hand, but it looks like if any excessive force was applied when the out drive slots were parallel to the ground that maybe it would bind. The o-rings would be a reassurance for peace of mind, what mind I have anyway
