Re: Jamin's Losi XXT Build
Ok, so it looks like my decal issue may have been sorted by the very kind help of NVXWAX, I sent him some pics of the decal sheet and he has kindly offered to produce some white die-cut decals for me, this is the image he has used to do this:-
Cant wait for them to arrive and get them on the truck!

I should keep my mouth shut on this, I have a G+ that needs finishing and I don't fancy my chances in a build off with you and Danjamin wrote:LOFL! Has it been done on this forum!! It could make for 2 great builds and some higher than normal attention to detail!fakiee wrote:Build off! build Off! BUILD OFF !!!![]()
I know where I am going with my G+, I think it will be well received. Dan is going in to run his, mine is not even going to be pushed round the living room, unless my boy gets hold of it!

Your attention to detail on your XXT is amazing, can't wait to see your G+ build come together.

Ha too late, looks like its a three way build off now, although it seems you are most of the way there already! I've got some way to go as yet!fakiee wrote:

Re: Jamin's Losi XXT Build - Paint nearly complete!
Tonight I spent quite a few hours painting the rear 'bed' of the truck. Proved to be quite a pain to mask on the outside (to give it a matt finish) and get the corners looking neat an tidy.
But I am thrilled with the result, apart from the fact it doesnt look matt enough, more of a satin, but still looks cool IMO. The numbers were hand cut masks and not decals, particularly happy with these too. Fitted to the truck the shell looks wicked, I am so happy with it, I just need to do the windows now, apply the decals and done!
I cant wait to get some photos of this on the truck, I promised myself I'd only post pictures when finished, but I am so excited I've decided to show a B&W, just to give everyone a little taster
Once done I am going to try and take some pics of the truck exactly how they are shown on the box, just for some added fun!!!!
But for now....

Thank Matt, its turning out to be very rewarding, but masking the 'bed' black was not fun at all.YZ-10 wrote:Fantastic job dude
I need to find the 'U.S. National Champion' stickers, as they dnot appear on the decal sheet (I've updated a seperate thread for this).

Fantastic job! & your attention to detail is inspiring!
I'm guessing that the 'National Champion' sticker is also a one-off machine cut item, just made up for the original box art car

Re: Jamin's Losi XXT Build
I can't remember what the sticker sheet looks like in my NIB XX kit (its the U.S 'sport' version)... but i'm guessing its the same as the one in Rick's photo. However i'm sure the sheet from my original buggy was different - i'm sure I had one single (but larger) yellow 'Team Losi' in the alternative logo & also more smaller decals
I guess like with the earlier cars there are variations in the decal sheets for the XX series.
