nope, soft (red dot) panthers. fronts were medium (silver dot) panthers. I loosened the slipper a touch and could probably get 3 packs on a pair of rears afterwards.
the factory boys were tossing wheels/tires out by the bucketloads (makes me sick really), cut the tires open, pull the foam and toss them away.

How are those 22 shocks working? They look like they fit pretty well

they work really well. the rear buggy shocks are a bit short (for stock rear towers), so either a truck shaft/buggy shock body, or truck shock body/buggy shaft would be ideal. i am running 55 pistons w/35 wgt losi oil, stock red front springs and yellow buggy rears. car handles very well and lands big jumps very nicely.
I will look into changing the shock bodies out to get the proper droop in the rear, i did get some chassis slap today off the big triple at the outdoor track i ran at today.
I will eventually put them back on my 22 and return to gold shocks, they all have a fresh rebuild on them, maybe just update to big bore springs.

found some recent race pics:
TLR 22 shocks
Crooked jump
Straight jump
Level jump
Diving hard into corners
I even allowed Jared Tebo (I think that is him) to hold my gold pan

I wish we had a nice track like that here and not a blown out POS from all the POS 1/8 nitro cars! Did I mention I hate 1/8 buggies?

No or very little skill required IMO!

2WD rules!
Love your car and shots BTW, just don't like the desecration with the Losi shocks!

When AE brings out buggy big bores, I will swap them out. Then my naked 22 can have its shocks back

Looking good! Can't wait to see it run. Are you going to keep the brushed electronics in it or go blinky 17.5 with this one?

Its staying brushed for right now, runs fantastic with the 19T double in there. I have so many other irons in the fire right now that all my brushless equipment is tied up, between the 3 classes I run and 2 for my boy, we are brushless poor

not to mention 2 crawlers & the 1/4 scale dirt bike
I did some quick testing out front of the house, those AE 12mm big bores are smooth and sweet, I cannot wait to hit the track and see how it performs!

Thats cool, I'm saddened its not gold anymore though. I think that is the eye catcher. I don't know how many times I heard at Cactus "What is that?.... is that..... A gold tub?"

I will build another gold car, with the worlds style machining and the cost of real worlds chassis, I couldnt bring myself to buy one to race, so I had this one powdercoated satin black to make it a "faux" worlds car
