Good ole Demon Power Products do carbon fibre bars which you can
stick under your lipo to fit in the slots. They are cheap and a good solution.
Thank you that's exactly the sort of thing I was thinking about.

I believe the company name is simply Strate Racing. I have some parts from them for an Optima Mid.
Thanks Gary and yes Jake does top class work.

:D I'm thinking it should be interesting, it's a slippy sports hall, we run the modern 4WDs on 5.5s with the slippers fully locked up.

I've got the week off work  so I thought I'd take the opportunity to pop down to see Stephen at Fibre-Lyte and have a set of shock towers cut. Stephen's a whizz on the old CAD and had these designed and cut in the blink of an eye.

They're based pretty closely on the Works 93 versions with just a couple of subtly changes, they bring the ride height down perfectly.

Picked a one way spur up, just waiting for some bearings to make it fit and then I think it's pretty much done all but the electrics, wing wire and painting.

I also cleared them out of these while I was there :D

Took the plunge today and ordered a couple of sets of Voltz 4500 Saddles to run in this.

A number of the local guys are running these with good results, I like the double side connector thing that's going on and the price seems good.

I also ordered a Savox 1251 low profile servo, after talking to Daryl he mentioned that they ran low profile servos with the A&L steering set up as the orientation changes and the short bodied servos gave a little more room.

I sensed interest was waning in this project so I thought I would just bash on and get it done.

All electrics in including 2.4 gear, LRP Sphere 7.5 brushless set up, personal transponder, Savox 1251 short servo and Voltz 4500 lipos fitted. Schumacher yellow mini spikes on with tubby medium inserts, the shell will be off this weekend to Jon Miller for paint so hopefully I should be racing in only a few weeks.

All finished and ready to race, the paint was completed by Jon Miller and I found an old Yokomo wing laid in the garage that cleaned up nicely.

I hope you all like it.

Very nice build Mark, who made the upper deck? Probably said it somewhere in the posts but didn't see it. Altogether a really great build.

The 870C arms are much shorter than the 91s they wont work. If you have access to 870C arms I could really make use of them if you feel like helping me out, pm on it's way.
