Viper shell finished. I did the paint-work myself rather than having my usual pro-painter do it. It came out OK, as long as you don't look too closely! And added a bit of 'cheek' to the bonnet

Not sure which wing to use, suggestion???

Wow, that carbon chassis is sweet! You have got to love vintage...

I think the Fiberlyte front shock tower was designed for .71 shocks, the 3 racing/AE V2/Kyosho Velvet shocks are .89 (approx) in size - why your front end looks to be WAY up in the air. If you gonna run it, you will need lots of limiters to bring it down or a different front shock tower or different shocks.

Overall this thing is stellar...the chassis is fantastic, damn exchange rate

When I first built it I quite liked the high front end, bu I think I'll follow your point and get some different shocks for it..

Custom build No. 2.......

OK, so my first custom build is still in need of a few tweaks so I thought I'd post progress of my 2nd build so that you guys could jump in early with your thoughts/advice etc....

The chassis was sanded back and has been sprayed white and then a few layers of gloss clear coat. Parts have been refurbed or replaced with new. Alloy body mount, white front bumper and new (re-issued) A&L steering are from members on here (Thank you!!!!). I'm just waiting for the rear bulk head to arrive and then I can make a start on the rear. All relevant parts will be black and I'm thinking of doing the bodyshell in a similar style/scheme to the Jay Halsey racer. I'm not looking to make a replica, just my version of the same car in a 'modern' way.....

Managed to get the other half done today. Mostly new parts, with only the tower, turnbuckles and shocks being re-furbed. Just waiting for a new carbon trans brace to arrive and will then get the shell cut and painted to finish it.

That's looking nice. I think it would look just a hair nicer with white front wheels though. Love the white chassis.

Gonna do a 'Jay Halsey' type paint job on the shell, hence the black front wheels. Won't be a replica, just a modern version....
