That's cool. I just lost most of my respect for Metallica when Load came out. What a hot steamy stinker that was. Then seeing the documentary and how they are in real life, I lost even more respect. They are still Metallica, don't get me wrong, but they stopped being the top metal band many years ago. (in my opinion, which is usually wrong anyway

)
I'm not a huge Dio fan, I like Ozzy era Sabbath. For me though, the musicians are what really make that band, Tony, Geezer and Bill. I love Ozzy, but Tony's guitar work
is metal to me. He is the master.
That's the thing about music, everybody likes different things. The fact that people debate Sabbath vs Metallica only means that they are both two of the greatest.

Ok, so I was obviously listening to different music in the 90's ( Ride..... anyone?? ) but I don't get the cowbell reference ?

scr8p posted the video on the second page, near the middle. SNL skit with Will Ferrel and Christopher Walken.

I'll definitely avoid that doc then. I'd rather not know what they're
really like I think. I agree on Sabbath. Paranoid and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (both with Ozzy) are on my long list of CDs that evryone should own.

Just to get back to the original spirit of an old thread; check out the bass player.

Not to mention I’m a huge lyrics whore and this song kinda speaks to me. I say this as a man in his mid 30’s who has sold out all his old ideas in the interest of his wife and kid. At least I’ll always have music.
No cowbell, but I think scr8p might forgive me…

I think Skillet has been here a couple if times. I've never made it though.
I
think there might be a
cowbell in here. I've loved this song for a while, but this is the first time I've seen the video. The video kinda sux compared to the song in my opinion.
