I wish I would've found those when I built the original tractor, but I'm going to make due with the ones I have. I may use some stadium truck fronts to kind of bring the rears more to scale.

The rebuild has started up again. I've kept the driveline the same, using the Axial gearbox/rear end. Most of the work is going to be cosmetic with sheet aluminum, styrene and JB weld. Here's the progress so far:
Bending the hood was a bit tedious. I used a candle, and slowly worked the curves into it, until I got the shape needed.

Very cool! That drivetrain looks serious, shes going to look good in green.

Thanks. The hood turned out pretty good after a lot of grinding and filling in. Trying to get the shark nose overhang to mate up with the grille was a real pain.
The drivetrain is from Axial...no diff, just a slipper, and a posi rear end.
Now comes my least favorite thing.....painting.

Ha, I have two projects I could call finished if I could just bring myself to paint them, lol. I'm with you on the paint, I'm dreading the paint job on my dragster.

Painting has begun.....
Primed and ready.
Of course, it has to be "official"......
If there's any left, I'll write "Billy Bob loves Charlene" on the water tower.

If anything, just do the rails in gloss black, and leave the cowl in bare aluminum...That piece looks too good to paint.

I was thinking about that. I just got some graphics in that fit the car perfectly so I think it warrants a paint job now. It should be cool.

She's back together. Now comes the detailing. Hopefully, it won't end up looking too cheesy.
I went with stadium truck front wheels, and it really makes the rears look more to scale. I'm trying not to invest too much in this since it will mainly sit on display.

OK, here she is in the wild....
It's complete now, but not "finished". I'll probably do some more detailing, along with adjusting all the running gear.
Overall, I'm happy with it.

Too bad you could not get a hold of any narrow rc10t front tires

Thanks. I had thinner front wheels on it, in it's previous form, but it made the rears look way too big. Just a few minor tweaks, and I'm calling this one done.

Something I've always enjoyed to look at in magazines and stuff was RC tractors for tractor pulls. Or just for scale looks. I think they are cool. Good job on it it looks really good.
