Sorry it's been a while lads!
Bit of an update before the main event ( oople invernational ) in 2weeks time.
My car's been at Ralls Racing hq for the radio gear, esc and motor to be fitted.
It's rocking the Proline dirt tyres too! Looks awesome, big thanks to Nath!
The shells off for a custom retro paint Job at Custom Blitz I'll show you all when it's back.

Very neat and desirable
The only thing that worries me now I have a look at it again is the stock 'buckles... Even bitd when the cars were not running that fast they were anything but top-quality. If you could get your hands on some purple lunsfords (some hpi or HB cars still sport them I think, think D4) that could be a good insurance against running a race with 9 degrees negative camber on the left and 6 positive on the right (that might ruin the handling

) after the car barrel rolls the fist time
Looking forward to the race results!!!
Paul

I love it when a vintage car gets its electrics installed - you can really sense the potential that one flick of the 'On-Off' switch & the old car is alive again!
There's some quality kit in there for sure & its neatly installed (the route of the motor wires looks especially neat)
With regard to Lonestars comment about the standard Schumacher turnbuckles - from memory I personally have never bent or broken one (I even converted my Mardave Cobra to run the Schumacher links) - probably helped by the fact that the links a relatively short. Of course, this was when our cars were a little slower & the ramps/jumps were less extreme! The Schumacher items are certainly better than what you got with a Worlds RC10!
Just from eyeing up your set-up - I think your rear shocks are perhaps a little too upright, moving them out on the wishbone/arm will give you better stability?

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, I agree its looking ace!
The radio, esc, cells etc are probably worth about 10 Cougars!
Yes it does look quite a weapon now, lots hope the gearbox can handle it, its running a boosted 10.5 so hope it'll be ok??
I am sure Nathan will work his set up magic on the car once he hits the track with it.
I'll post up some pics when the shells back from paint and update you all on the Oople race weekend as I get the info from Nathan.

News hot off the press is Nathan won the oople invernational vintage race with my Cougar!
There was a field of 15 cars including 4wds and 2wds
I'v asked him to take some pics for you all, I'm well pleased as it hadn't turned a wheel till it got to the event.
Thanks for all the help and advice guys during the build and to Moozo for the works front arms.

Congratulations on the win!
From the pic it looks like he ran it with the Cougar MK1 front arms? Did Nathan try both and decide long wheels base was best, even for an astro track?
Paul.
