Seriously though, I voted 6 gear. It gets no love. :| Sure, pretty much every other transmission was a little more efficient, but it's still a great unit. I spin the one at my desk everyday and it always makes me smile. :D Very sexy shape too. I sometimes get a little carried away and have to close the blinds to my office.

It spins that smooth? Wow my bearing are worse than I thought. I don't knot though, my 6 gear (that needs a diff) looks pretty tempting even though it isn't all metal like my 6 gear. :|

If its set up properly you should be able to blow on the spur and it should spin. Without axles and motor of course lol. But back in the day that's how we knew we had a good trans

That actually says quite a bit. If I blew on my spur, all I'd ever get would be a cloud of dust. Hmmm, guess bearing do make a difference.

Geez, I leave Todd unattended for an hour and this is what happens??!
It's funny though, a 6 gear in proper order will spin for 10+ seconds with an outdrive whip, but will still be outrun on the track by a Stealth that spins for 5- seconds. :?

I've built my career around that theory!

Nice. I build all my cars around that theory. ("If ain't it broke don't fix it, but if it is broke take it apart, put it back together and suddenly it will work again.)

Since I'm in need of a roller I figured this would be a decent car for the price. What do you guys think of it?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-TEAM-ASSOCIATED-C-STAMP-RC10-BLACK-TUB-STEALTH-TRANS-GOLD-TUB-PARTS-/130731995674?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e703bf21a#ht_500wt_949

I've never seen a "C" stamp before. Is it rare?

Is the part number of the stealth diff gear (original 2.25) #6580? I found some on ebay but they say that it can't be used with my original stealth tranny.

Actually are all these parts compatible for my stealth? These numbers come from a championship edition manual and say they are, but I just want to be sure (specifically about the bearings and the diff gear)

-6580 diff gear
-6574 small diff balls
-6581 large diff balls
-6563 complete ball bearing kit (are these the same bearings used in the B2/B3 stealth trannys as well?)
-6575 diff thrust bolt, etc.
-6579 diff rings
-6573 diff thrust washer pair

Looks like the diff gear listed fits according to associated's website.

Here is the car I took in from a trade with GoldRush. This has quite a few of the parts I needed.
