Could be a lot of things but it wouldn't hurt to throw a voltmeter on the motor leads and see what's up. The setup on those older speed controls was tricky and it may just be that simple

Exactly, it acts like it should just not putting out power to the motor. I got this speed control along with a bunch of other parts so if it's nuked it won't be a big loss. I'll just go with a new Novak brushless system if it can't be fixed. I could also start hunting for another one since these are fairly common. I'll have to think on it. I've got lots to do on this project anyway so it's really not much of a setback. I'll probably start working on the wing and mounts for the second body.

Man if the lights are reacting to the trigger but no output it's either dead or the motor is dead. You sure you got the endbell clocked correctly, right? If its the right degree off it may not run. Probably fried esc tho.

Too bad about the T4. Hope you can get it sorted out. It sure looks the part.
Your Mustang will look sweet painted up.
I'll save the case from this T-4 and swap out the guts with another functional T-4 if I can't get it going. The case looks like new.

I ran the motor up on another car and it's good. Looking like fried esc to me. Will do some more research though. I'll open up the case and see what it looks like in there.

Fixed it! Replaced the faulty communication cable and it cranked right up.
Check it out.

The rear wheels look really nice, did you cut them down or was this pair narrower

Thanks man! The Sunoco decals are made by Mr. Lexan. I wish he would make some more of them.

Thanks! I used 2" rears since they have an offset and then cut off the excess. They now fit a standard rear tire. Once I trim a bit off the inner front hubs they will have a nice fit too.

Thanks! It seems like the really rough ones turn out the best for me. I nearly threw this car out when I first saw it.
