FYI, tamiya 54119 cvd set should work for this car, i may pick up a set depending on how atomik handles my cvd issue.

i was told a very large amount of TRF 201 parts are a direct fit.

i heard that too. trying to find a part # for the trf201 cvd's was impossible. no "kit" listed, no hop up for the dn01 listed.
i ended up finding out the 4wd cvd's are the same and there's a kit part#.
good thing is if we have issues with the atomik parts we can just swap in tamiya parts.

The atomik did well last night. I missed a qualifier because my tires weren't dry and I didn't get any practice laps but the car was almost perfect with my bench setup.
I moved both the front and rear hubs to the most forward positions and then it really came together. I also borrowed a 3300 shorty pack, that helped the 17.5 and the brakes, I had a 5300 brick in there to start.
I didn't qualify last which is a feat in itself because I always suck the first couple of times I run a new track. I did finish dead last but that wasn't the cars fault, the motor shifted and the mesh got super tight about 1/2 way through the main.
I can't wait to get some more time with it.

Stock, everyone seemed to running stock last night.
Mod was reduced to 2 beat up buggies and a t4.1.

so what happens when you leave the zip lock full of parts at home? you dont run the car
Got to the track, getting ready to set it up and run, cant find my parts bag to give me confidence. Got to the track late, was running 3 classes and only got to run one battery before racing started. Horrid. I'll give the car a go at my next attempt to race. ::insert explicative here::

that sucks joey. i almost did the same thing. but last minute i remembered to bring the kit box with all the spares.
i used the atomik wheels because the lhs didn't have any bearing front wheels. the bearings fit very loose in the atomik wheels.
so thats a wasted set of brand new suburbs. effing 12mm hex wheels, that's all they had in stock.

If the bearing fronts become scarce, I have been looking at the Gambler I still have and its steering knuckles (12mm hex)...it may be a direct fit/swap. I just need to put the parts side by side and check geometry. Then the hurdle will be offset - is it correct or not.
BUT...we can always use the Tammy metric front wheels

I was just reading that....post up the pack all the way back. When I do that, I cant get to the battery plug holes.
