Awesome Build! Thank you for sharing. I have a B2 in Parts so i think i have to try this. Have you driven all three chassis length by now and if yes, which One Works best on carpet?

:)
I have driven only with the original B2 wheelbase chassis (NIX9200) on a tile floor indoor track.
Grip is very similar to outdoor so I'm currently driving with outdoor-setup. Can't say anything about the carpet.

Soon it's time to test B3 setup.

Fantastic race result Niki, the B3 will be even better on carpet! That is what you run on right? Anyway, what made you choose not to cut the square notch in the chassis to lower the transmission and overall cg?

I'm not sure if I understod right... but... the transmission IS located in a groove on chassis topside. :?:

Ok I understand, sorry I missed that! I did not know the graphite plate was that thick. I wonder then if you used thinner graphite, that you would gain traction?

Original RC10 Graphite chassis was 1/8" thick I think? My chassis is 3mm - so little bit thinner. B2 transmission needs ~1.8mm cut to settle properly.
I wanted to keep chassis rear end as strong as possible so through cuts were avoided. Underside is nice and smooth in this design.

Hello Niki,

Purchased some parts off of shapeways this week, and have a friend with a CNC who is cutting a chassis for me. Really excited to give it a shot! Will report back my findings for everyone to see. Thank you for designing such a cool car!

I want one of those chassis, but no one in my area cuts graphite. Arrrrr!! Would your buddy be willing to cut one for me? I have pesos. Hahahaha. Let us know.

With those older "Looking" arms, the Chassis would be really cool if it was shaped kind of like the Late version RC10 graphite car like this one:
