To be honest, I'm not much impressed. Anybody can paint a body to distinguish something from box-art...very little modding or upgrading going on with Tanatwo's build. With a re-re build, there needs to be something unique happening or it's just another commonplace build. Like SMOKE-DOG's mod of the slipper gear...that alone makes his build compelling.

Smoke-dog replaced the stock diff and pinion with RR parts, don´t think he touched the slipper.

Tanatwo is one of the best, IMO, when it comes to Kyosho paint jobs.

I like Tanatwo's work. I think I may swap the radio box for a black or red one too. Super easy mod to stand out from all the yellow.

I don't really consider that "modding", but I respect your guys' opinions.

There are parts on eBay now including the black radio box. I'll be going the Tomahawk radio plate tho myself

Kyosho America has the boxes too along with a few other hop-ups. Post a pic of your Scorpahawk when you're finished. ;)

What extra parts would be needed to make a Beetle from the 2014 Scorpion? Other than a body and some fantastic yellow rims, would it be just the front body mount?

You need the beetle roll bar and a dust cover for the radio tub too.

Had a little time today to play with fitting some repro pieces.

Rch shock tower melded to stock ReRe- adds the third trans mount bolt and short shock ear (until they ReRe the Cb shocks lol!)

Tomahawk radio plate

CRP skid plate

Kyosho Assault style bumper

I still need to make the servo mount plate that will connect the pieces nicely and the tall front towers.

Just a copy in fiberglass or are there changes that are needed?
