You've got a nice project there.

And this pic deserves a first price in demonstrating camouflage techiques ;)

Thanks!

I've got to give credit for that photo to Jake. It does blend in fairly well, doesn't it?

Ordered these for it, designed by fredswain. Some added track width should help it handle better.

Awesome info. Going to start a separate post for my build...but I do have a couple of questions...

1: If you have an 'A' stamp chassis, would that make it an 'A1M'?

2: Do you have a trademark on the 'B1M'...or can I use it, too?

Still watching the build...and learning!

Thanks!

Mine is an A stamp too, the B is for Buggy. Like the new B5M, the B4.2, etc. Associated's trucks use a T, like the T4.2 etc.

I doubt I'm the first one to use "B1M", although i hadn't seen it before, so who knows. Anyway, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so knock yourself out 8)

Got in my fredswain long front arms from shapeways and died them with some coffee.
Here they are before dying

i used decaf cause i don't want the front of my car to be too jittery

I think they match pretty well:

The front is now 9.75" wide, which is about .5" wider than the rear. Here it is compared to my b4

And some pics of the whole thing. Getting close... Image

Brian, what wheelbase are you running? I'm thinking about 'tweaking' my car's wheelbase a little, depending on what arm combo I go with. It would also provide some wiggle room out back, if needed.

Thoughts?

I've got it set to the long wheelbase setting in the rear.

Hey Brian,
Nice build! Do you need a gear cover? I just got my first sample from Shapeways today. Fits well.

There should be enough space for VTS slipper also. Just in case.
