Update - My original 10T now wears the original RCCA 92' Drip body. This is the body I based my original design on (not very well). You can see that body on page 1 of this thread. I am very proud to own this piece of vintage RC history.

The camera settings (and my lack of camera skill) made these pictures show the white plastics as very yellow and dingy looking. They do not appear this way in person.

Sweet score!! Looks like the body was mounted on a Kunio truck at some point.

I think this is a pretty cool picture. It shows the original RCCA 92' Drip body (from the cover, and the how to feature) alongside my original body, which I tried to paint like the magazine. I read those instructions, and stared at the pictures for hours. Obviously, I decided to change up the colors, and I only had access to rattle cans. Seeing them side by side shows the drastic difference between the quality of work. So honored to own the original now.

Looks great! If you don't mind saying so, how did you manage to track down that original body? That's pretty impressive that all these years later not only does it still exist, but you managed to get ahold of it.

Also, great choice on the front tires. I love that tire design.

I have had mine under construction for some 4-5 years now. Moving back from Europe and starting a new job have kept me from getting down to work and finishing mine up. Now that we have some down time thanks to this shut-down I might finally get back to it. My son reminds me of it all the sime.

Quick question, did you use the standard "Servo Tape" solution for installing the steering servo?

I am still looking to find the best source of Wheels and Tires for the truck. I am guessing most 2.2 tires should work.

It looks like it is mounted on the left side of the chassis requiring additional holes in the chassis.

Standard mounts indeed on std holes iirc - you can play with the offset to find the best mounting spot. If you do exactly as the pics show, this is suboptiimal as the link actually his the servo case... but overall if you mount the servo as far to the left as possilbe, this is the best solution I have found
