I think I ended up with a little bit of an A-Team thing going on with this one.

Looking slick, a few repro 10t decals and you would be set!

They were the two colors I had left over and some pinstriping. I don't dislike it.

I have a T4 decal sheet I was thinking about using.

Stickers would help lessen the A-Team theme.

THis sticker put in the bed of the truck should help add some detail... :D

Would this be the correct motor for an original 10T?

Looks good with the stickers, less A-Team now.

I think Associated just threw whatever stock motor they had excess of in a kit when the kit had a motor in the box, Many of the higher end kits were without any electronics however. This generally rings true for any of the team cars and trucks. So unless your 10t was a gold shock sport truck then it is unlikely it would have had any motor at all stock and that would be a good one to put in.

Yeah, I dig the A-team vibe, though.

Thanks, the motor was in a pretty original truck, so I was curious if those were included.

It was in the truck on the left.

Truck on the right, possible.. Truck on the left was unlikely to include any electrical components being a race truck kit. Although saying that the motor is a good one to pop in for display in that truck :)

So I wanted to put something together for my brother and his family to have fun with.
I repaired the old T3 and went all the way through it. Checked and adjusted shocks, replaced arms, c-clips, went through the stealth, diff, upgraded the slipper to T4, installed a 9T brushless setup with program card, 2.4hz rx/tx, re glued the tires, cut out a new body and added front and rear TBoneracing bumpers.

I put in a 20T pinion and 81T spur and, Oh my, it is a bit of a monster. I had the timing low and punch up and it was violent from a stop, after some adjusting it is pretty smooth and very controllable.

I'm a little jealous as I recently hurt something in my new SC10 transmission in my T4 basher, and this T3 runs and drives like a dream.... while I stare at my new, upgraded, transmission in the T4 making a thumping noise.

I'm unsure about the paint so far, I was thinking maybe a bright orange with a checkered flag. Give him something flashy.

Depending on skill levels a nice tongue in cheek this end up painted across the top lol

And no prob with the motor Q :)
