I'd still run an antenna tube even if my receiver didn't have an antenna.
Hehehe....me too RC10th! You should make that your signature.RC10th wrote:I'd still run an antenna tube even if my receiver didn't have an antenna.
That would make a good signature.joey_zrl wrote:Hehehe....me too RC10th! You should make that your signature.RC10th wrote:I'd still run an antenna tube even if my receiver didn't have an antenna.
joey_zrl wrote:In my opinion, just by looking at them...they are a little thicker in O.D. than the stock tubes near the center and at the ends. Given that they are shorter by about 1/2", they are a bit more torsionally rigid than the oem tubes. The reason they are shorter is because JConcepts machined the length of their nose brace tubes to specifically fit the RC10 buggy. The stock tubes will fit the RC10 and the RC10T.howaboutme wrote:Looks great!
Can you tell me what the JC diamond nose brace tubes does compared to stock? Besides sexier, is it stronger? I assume a major reason is it's lighter?
Thanks!
In my opinion, these tubes are definitely an upgrade in strength and weight reduction, as well as looks.
Ok, thank you for the clearing that up for me bully. Much appreciated. I was going off of what I learned from JConcepts. I was under the impression that the World's Car tubes and the 10T tubes were the same length:bully wrote:joey_zrl wrote:In my opinion, just by looking at them...they are a little thicker in O.D. than the stock tubes near the center and at the ends. 10T and RC10 nose tubes are different lengths mate..
Link to the JC article: (Scroll down to get to the info on the nose tubes)Chilly from JConcepts wrote:As you can see the JConcepts diamond nose brace tubes are much shorter in length than the stock tubes since those were designed to fit both the RC10 and RC10T. Since only RC10 kits have been re-released at this point JConcepts designed their tubes specifically for that platform. Like their diamond wing tubes, these nose tubes also use a unique hex design in the middle with a diamond pattern cut into it. Again I opted for the black version to match my color scheme but silver is available.
Yes Sir, that info from JC was very misleading. Thanks for making it more clear GoMachV. I will be building a 10T sometime soon, so I appreciate the shared knowledge. I'm really glad to have found a website dedicated to the RC10 platform.GoMachV wrote:Yeah, unfortunately they are incorrect. The original tubes were long in case you wanted to run in lwb mode, but without the holes drilled in the tubes it was not easy. The 10t brace holes are both cross drilled, they bolt to the bulkhead not the noseplate like the buggy. Truck nose brace tubes are also shorter than the buggy by quite a bit
Well, you see what had happened was.... I only have a few ae stickers left, and they ain't going on the tackle box.RC10th wrote:TLR sticker, shame on you
Looking forward to the action shots....
