On the tuber / sandrail debate:
I personally do not like seeing them if they do not have at least a few body panels on them........ like the Real race tuber. Something along those lines. But in real life, a lot of them are open cages so I let them go. David's isn't the only one, i think DennisM posted one awhile back too.
Also, yes. All entries should have tires. And in the case of a contest awhile back, they should have a transmission too.

to the cage thing... first, David will win the contest, like he does every time he enters. So who cares whether there's panels or not... we already know the outcome of this month
Second - the almighty Javelin (one of which I will enter the next time you're offering this contest to Kyosho's) doesn't have any panels... and that's one of the best looking buggies... ever... I think this seals it!
Happy to have entered my BW now... all original, tires included (not even boomer re-re tires) i'm telling you!

The thing is, it looks good with these wheels and tires, but anyone will tell you at first sight that you just built an re-re-egress
To which I responded quite cleverly...
We'll, the thing is... That NOS BigWig looks great but anyone will tell you at first sight that you just built a re-re-BigWig.
