I was thinking the pickup was right behind the prop. Enough to anger everyone else in the house for a few smoky minutes :P

No need to be scared. I'll be glad to test it for you this Saturday. We'll find the deepest, coldest and most snake infested lake around and just go for it. I'll bring my Speedo, razor and a snorkel.

restoring a holy grail O.S. CV15 i scored on ebay for the boat. got a new piston/sleeve coming, bearings are good. its a factory blue crankcase unit but was in rough condition. the blue is from a Sharpie, then automotive clearcoat over that.
i haven't ran the .12CZ2 yet just getn prepared in case its not fast enough or wont plane out right....plus this blue engine will look titties in there! i can't do a break-in in the boat so i will swap cranks and do it in my Nitro Brute

A Sharpie?? As in a pen/marker? Can you elaborate on this process?

yup! the case is factory blue but a lot of it came off with age and cleaning it....silver under it. i just went over and over it with a blue sharpie...even the blue till it all matched...then cleared it with automotive clear with hardener
