I put her Sunday Shoes on , changed the motor from the old silver can and the sun's out so i grabbed some more photo's , I got a good one of the road that is hard to see in photo's , I gave the road a dusting of Gun Metal then backed it with black to give it a metaled road look .

I just took her out in the road for a quick spin and its pretty quick thanks to a slightly naughty motor ! the motor is a Reedy spec class and the can has ROAR 27 stamped on the front , its an odd motor though because as i understood it these should be sealed cans but this one is fully strippable like a Mod motor but it has got locked timing, its ball raced as well and i expected it to be bushed ? , further when i stripped it to have a look it has a label on the armature with RDY19 and its balanced ? so it is a Reedy 19t mod armature ! The decal on the motor also has the look of a new replacement so might be misleading as well, I'm not in any way complaining though as it was dirt cheap looks pretty and goes like stink !

I have that same motor...

I got it off ebay for $17 and it was listed as a Reedy "Spec 19" handout motor from the Kimbrough 400

Cool car btw! 8)

That paint scheme is perfect and a masterpiece! And awesome car overall! I like the narrow front wheels even on the 4wd’s..

The front wheels and tires are for the 2wd version of the Coyote but I like them better as well . I'm glad people like the paint , I couldn't resist it but really wasn't sure how it would look in the real world , I really worried while I was brush painting the cactus plants and grass tufts !

I was looking at these round stick batteries..the size is right. https://www.airsoftatlanta.com/collections/batteries-and-chargers/products/vengeance-7-4v-2000mah-stick-li-ion-battery

Its the 15 C that's the problem , i did think about two wired in parallel but its still only 30 C , it might work , the 220 mahr 65 C lipo's i used don't look as good but work really well , I've got a few of those lipo buzzer alarms and even under high load i never heard a peep out of it ..... my feeling is id rather go to NIMH torpedo's in the end , i know a place that would make them and its probably kinder to the car ......

i hear ya....but when Thumbs came down today we ran my bothers Avante with a Technigold and lipo.
Then ran the "Real Deal" which is Technigold and new nimh 6 cell....both motors are equal but the technigold on the lipo had twice the ass!

The real deal has that wiper speed control though! Ran great, but I wonder if it doesn't supply the umphh of that esc in the Avante?? Both drove great either way!

Its the volt drop under load with NiCad that makes the big performance difference , with Lipo there is very little volt drop under load , a 6 cell NiCad may drop over a volt under load but the Lipo wont drop a volt until the end of its charge .
