Along way from a video, very limited time to work on crap....but it started!...that's all I can say at this point...the engine is a 1985 O.S. Max 21SE-B

Thumbs has the video of it idling..hopefully he'll get permission from his wife to post it 🤞....it starts right up, but won't idle low enough to disengage the clutch..the clutch and engine are all NOS parts, the carburetor was used...it being very finicky....the clutch is real aggressive as the springs are real vintage design, the bearing is just a piece of plastics with 6 roller shafts in it, and the clutchbell has a liner in it (all kit stuff)...
Maybe I can retro fit another carb on it..the engine is an 85' model

Sorry for the delay. Typing the name of the engine in the description took about 20 minutes...

Got a running vid! Thumbs has it, grabbed a carb off a vintage Max Power 8th onroad engine and machined throat down 2mm to fit it... idles down nicely now....only hold up, even with 2.4 radio, servos glitch badly, so I didn't get crazy with it, but did drive great, brakes worked....sent Benji (Thumbs) a PM asking him if he got video???? sent by the Diamond💎 One....no reply...f'ing weird

looks great! Im still trying to find a header for mine. I have a side exhaust and none of my vintage headers wrap around the engine correctly. The one I do have is too new and isnt appropriate for it.

What's that special effects highlighted area that follows it around when driving? Is that like the old "Fox trax" puck that had the glow around the puck on Fox televised hockey games? 🤔

Hey Vanning, what you smokin? 😁

We all used to dream about these cars in the Tower Hobbies catalog - but ones like this were so out of reach that we didn't even bother to dream about them! I remember the Assault and the Burns that I think came after the Vanning. And who didn't daydream about that ridiculous Jaco Jackrabbit :P ... So cool. Thanks for posting.

....and for the record, that video was 1/16th throttle, there was no way I was opening that thing up....i.like it just like it is on the shelf...anything could have went wrong, broken throttle linkage, servos were glitching even on 2.4ghz...anything!..but gonna run Sept 21st for Thumbs at a Fest!
