Another limited release?

Congratulations Fan RC, you are safe.

Please keep molding RC10 parts; we will need them.

This new rear bulkhead missing the lower section makes me wonder if Fan RC parts are being used in the AE kit.

Call me cynical, but the recall the CE released a few years back:

Get the jump on the competition.
Go RC off-road racing with the leaders. Complete RC10 Classic kits, replacement parts and spares will be available through model car racing's most extensive dealer network. Take the challenge and build yourself a winner, Team Associated's RC10 Classic.
Replacement parts and spares were extremely limited in experience, even after long being discontinued they're hard to find as "collectors" snapped them all up.

Had to pre-order one. I have regretted not getting the first re-re and missed out on the clear.

I have built almost every other re-re out there at this point. The only thing that would tempt me after this would be a Jammin' Jay reproduction

The pre-order website says "May 2024", we'll see...

By collectors I believe you mean rc10talk 'super users'

Next up: a 57 Chevy with no tail fins.
:D It doesn't make any sense to me either, as the dimensions of both the Parma and Bolink should be nearly identical, as far as width and length.

The correct wheels are another expensive and difficult adventure.

Figured I'd add The Dead Pool [1988] vette chase here, in case anyone hadn't seen it yet. Poor quality video, I would make a better one for Youtube, but they'd probably block it, or take it down.

RC10 Classic 40 Year Anniversary Kit - 1.png
Only 4 digits on that production number. Pre-order 9,999 and you own the market! Unless AE knows about hexadecimal, then you will have to buy 65,536. :|

Seriously, though, is that a clue? I have no idea what would constitute a normal production run for an RC kit. It doesn't seem like much of a restriction. It seems like a "build as many as people will buy" number.

Traxxas probably sells that many Slashes every month. Schumacher probably hasn't sold that many Cougars in 30 years.

Evening Guys .. got the heads up yesterday I'm in the UK so kept clocking Modelsport etc.. but by 11 our time they'd sold out.. Gggrr

So contacted AE USA direct.. and I was kinda expecting it:

Hello Jon,

AE will not be able to ship the #6007 kit outside North and South America.

Eventually the kit will make their way to the stores and distributors around the world. You will need to place you order/preorder with your favorite local shop what will be order the kits.

Currently, we don’t have a confirmed date in the system the estimated arrival time is mid to late May.

At this time I don’t have confirmation if they are going to be making any replacement parts.

Read the bottom line.. as before
