Ah, okay, thanks for correcting the weight. So, it appears that 1kg is the standard weight but maybe the spool OD isn't a standard. Silvertriple mentioned in another post that he received some filament spools that wouldn't fit his AMS. Anyway, it is what it is.
Going back at the image of the chassis plate in your previous post, your Manx is gonna be a very detailed model and I'm looking forward to seeing it come together.
I was wondering about getting a filament dryer too, but I really want the AMS unit instead, unfortunately that won't be out until January or so, for QIDI. I don't know if I can wait that long, probably get the Sunlu dryer at some point.
Was able to get the Buggy Champ from nitrohobbies.com, that place has the best prices, free shipping, and no tax.

I don't know about the qidi version ams but with the Bambu it only keeps the filament dry with dessicant, you really still need a dryer anyway. Also with the Bambu you can't use it (long term anyway) with abrasive filaments so that's the other nice part with the dryer is you can use it for those abrasives and dry as you print.

This past month the humidity has been between 19% and 30% here. I had heard that the AMS units only allow for dessicant, with the current models. But if QIDI 's AMS was going to be a regular, no extra features model, it should've been out already. Hoping they are about to innovate, with drying, or a mixed/abrasive filament ability.

That 4 spool dryer is very cool.
Hey, is there a good youtube tutorial for OrcaSlicer that y'all can recommend? Perhaps something very basic for a newb like me?

If you want a dryer and an AMS then get a food dryer , it's what I use , goes upto 75°C and does nylons and PC just fine if you give it enough time , I wouldn't even consider spending big money on a purpose made filament dryer .

An AMS that allowed mixed filaments, with a serious 330W or better dryer in it, would be worth the cost to me - if it were an efficient and solid product.
I want to be able to try PPS-CF at some point, and that has to be dried for nearly a day, to get the best results. Chamber heating, as a substitute for a dryer, isn't really efficient, but perhaps for annealing the print the chamber heating will come in handy.

Incredible! Your print looks as good as the injection molded part. Me thinks you made a wise choice with the QIDI printer.

Thanks! I really did my homework on this purchase.
$759 (5% off, free 3-day shipping, no tax), with Paypal 4-Pay, means I got started for $189 (every two weeks for two months) with the Plus4, and including a $27 PLA Gray spool, I was printing for $210, total, for two weeks.
If I could find a way to sell the prints, it could pay for itself, by the time all 4-payments were due.

The Manx dune buggy chassis is supposed to be printed out of Nylon, but I used Silver PLA instead, with a 0.20mm layer height and using the Strength preset.
Even the ugly side isn't too bad, and was pretty easy to clean the supports off of, for once.
That was all of the body parts, going to assemble and paint this all, and then work on a passenger and the suspension.

With nylon , polycarbonate, TPU and PETG once dried they go into sealed containers , nylon and PC both have sealed spool holders with bowden tubes to connect to the printer .

I'm really surprised that companies like Bambu Lab don't offer a line of dryers and dry storage containers. I searched but they have nothing. Maybe they expect you to toss you're unused filament after your print is finished.
