Is that an 86 GN? Sweet car! They are fun to drive, huh? I need to post mine but embarrassed about how much dust is on it! 8)

Yes, you nailed it! My father bought it new after I read about the GN in hot rod magazines, he was considering a Camaro or Corvette back then...needless to say, after he did the test-drive, he was signing the paperwork. You got your full size trunk, full back seat, and more performance than the others, in that year. I bought it from him to keep it in the family, about 17 years ago...and because he never would've heard about the GN if I hadn't told him about it and went to a dealership to check one out.

Be sure to share some pics of yours, don't worry about the dust!

Here it is cleaned up. It has some mild go fast goodies. Bigger cam, Champion race heads, larger injectors, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, adjustable waste gate, Art Car trans, race chip and most importantly, a drive shaft loop. I currently have the stock turbo on it due to the larger one having seal leak problem. I want another one, maybe a white t-type? Maybe someday...... :?:

I’ve had this a few years now, a 2012 103.

What with Associated, Losi and Harley’s I’m convinced I was born in the wrong country!

This is my 69 Baywindow. I’m third owner. It’s been in my wife’s family since mid 70’s. I’ve spent about 5 years restoring it. I started by stripping it down to bare metal. I did all the body work, painting, and finishing and built it up from there, doing my best to restore every piece of hardware as I went along. Re-keyed the door locks so the work with one key, played around with zinc plating for some of the hardware. Had to make fixes for things like windshield wiper motor gars because they just don’t make them anymore.

I’m most proud of the engine bay. I built this engine from scratch and did my own balancing and even some light machining of the heads to get the correct CR. Had to develop some of my own tooling for balancing the rods. I spent a lot of time building the engine to factory spec while including some reliability improvements such as full-flow modification, additional sensors for CHT, A/F O2 sensor, oil temp, etc... the engine bay has motion activated LED lighting making it easier to work on.
