How do the SLA parts hold up under racing conditions? Has anyone raced the new build car yet?

In case you haven't seen them, check out the videos, second post on this page here --> http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=99&t=36419&p=412754#p412754
The cars have been raced hard, I'm sure Niki and Jake will chime in, but I don't *think* there have been failures of the rapid prototype parts. BTW, the parts are SLS (selective laser sintering) of Nylon, not SLA. SLA parts have a slightly nicer finish and maybe a little better accuracy compared to SLS, but they are brittle!

We have experienced one failure of the SLS arms. Niki was involved in a major crash at the end of a long straight which he hit an object at wide open throttle. Niki explained the hit was hard enough that an injection molded part would probably have failed as well. He broke one front arm in the impact. He has not had any other failures and I also have not experienced any failures. I have had some hard hits with my car as well, infact I have broken two shock towers. My towers are quite a bit different than the ones that are being offered with the Nix91 kit. I have also upgraded to 3mm towers since and have yet to experience a tower failure.

The parts feel pretty forgiving, they have some flex for sure and I'm thinking that's just fine for this application

First, I would like to thank Curtis, Roger and Cliff for the opportunity to send my car to AE to have photos taken next to the original, thank you very much.

Second, Niki it is amazing how close we were able to get to the original just by the countless hours of studying photographs and scaling out the car.

These photos were provided courtesy of Team Associated.

Maybe I should have put the two missing screws in the shock tower before I sent it, LOL. I had the car tore apart shortly before I sent it to AE and must have missed those two screws

Really cool! 8)

Only thing that stands out as different is the rear shock tower...and a very little bit the front tower. Everything else looks spot on :!:

Might be the spring clips but it kinda looks like the rear shock bodies are shorter than 1.32?
