Saw this feller just outside the garage today.
I was doing a brake job, guess he was curious.

That thing? It's kinda boring actually. It's my friend's 1956 Chevy. He inherited it from his grandfather, who bought it used in 1967, drove it for a bit, then parked it and decided to put a V8 in it, but never finished it. We pulled it out of a barn. Found 3 sets of gauges, 2 yards of OEM upholstery, all kinds of trim and extra parts in the trunk. Built a... uh... stout 30 over 350 for it (Its a circle track motor essentially), 700R4, disc brakes and lowered it. It still has the original paint codes from the factory written on the firewall in grease pencil.

See? Kinda boring.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

The 55 Chevy is my dream car. In red and white. My first car was a 54 Chevy 150 Utility Sedan... missed it by a year! I built the 235 up, lowered it, nosed and decked it, and painted it satin white with blue flames, and had big and littles on chrome smoothies. I miss the hell out of that car. The way it was geared and the torque of the 6 meant I could run door to door with a 5.0 up to about 70. Then I just ran out of steam... but for a stupid 16 year old kid, that was probably for the best.

What you don’t want to have happen on the way to a car show.😱 guy ran a red light in front of him in the wet and it just wouldn’t stop.

We are living in weird times down here in Melbourne, Australia (Lockdown capital of the world).... and this was another example.

We found this worm/grub/caterpillar/whatever in Louie's outside water bowl. Size was a bit over a centimetre (so about half an inch in the old and crusty methods), completely transparent, with those brown line markings all over. Strangest thing we have ever seen!
Crawly2.jpg
We took it out of the water bowl and put it aside, but when we came back later, all that was left was the brown marks - the entire creature had evaporated.

Lockdowns, earthquakes, weird creatures.... the weirdness never stops down here!
