Which arms are that? I have a similar thing on my workbench (admitted; on a forgotten corner for the moment) but the shock mount point looks better on your arms.
Are these arms directional (do they have built-in toe-in)?

I could be wrong, but I think Associated built their tow-in into the rear arm mounts, & not the arm itself.
They look almost exactly the same with the exception of the missing lower shock mounting bosses. The arm itself is configured the same, so there is no additional (or less) tow in. I will have to do a little additional work, as the rear carrier/hub area opening is slightly narrower than the stock part. I'll have to grind down either the stock hubs, or the set screw/bushings to make them work.
I've decided to switch out the Platinums for a set of worn out-recycled Kyosho golds. Their smalled diameter should put the rear geometry in less of a bind now that I have to figure out acceptable replacement lower shock mounts.

Try to get the upper mount point of the shock further back: should be possible while you're going to switch to a custom rear shocktower.
so those are modeled after the DS parts... ok noted in the perhaps-one-day-to-buy list

More suspension & steering tweaks..
Rebuilt front Kyosho Golds, added fresh Trinity 30wt silicone oil & installed Associated springs.
Rear shocks are fine, only need an oil change and Associated springs switch. Will remove Platinums and add back to salvaged parts stash.
Discovered stripped gears in old Futaba 148 servo, will add that to the "to do" rebuild list.
More work needed on SS front end for shock clearance....May introduce front end to "Mr. Dremel" soon...

Body quest is finally OVER!
Here's a couple rough cut/mock up teaser shots.
Project is back on track...
Now for a color.....metal flake purple, original Meyer's Manx red, or a gun metal grey...hmmm.

that's the perfect body for that creation. it's going to look sweet once you get it all painted up.

More progress....
Final wheelbase length has been figured.
Body has been clearanced for Triumph belt drive.
Inner body sides have been fabbed.
Rear (old JG) body mount roughed out & clearanced for "trunk".
I decided to drop the custom fabbed RC10 pan sub chassis idea for a cleaner & much lighter set up.
Will move on to final drilling, sanding, & painting (gloss hammertone black) of chassis soon..
Scale looks to be right at 1/10th.

That is cool, good use of the Slash body. This is the first time I have been in this forum, like the strange in here...

Bumper's finally here...
Did a little more mock up to check for fit.
A little more trimming is needed on the front of the chassis before I tear it apart and start detailing/painting everything...shouldn't be long now...
All I need now (parts wise) is to order the Tamiya dog bones and she'll be ready to run.
The front bumper will match the recycled rear motor guard pretty well...and it's already polished!
