Here we are once more 1 year later from the time I got this very rare beauty to add to my collection.
An original no-stamp early edinger in near new condition with Goodyear tires all around, with all the very early items that can possibly be found, including the earliest Novak ESC ever made and 3-Channel Futaba Magnum Sr. radio system.
This beauty still resides in the glass cases with many other siblings.
Since then I have added two more no-stamp early edingers to the collection, along with some mid-edingers to late edingers and a few cadillacs.

Only RC10's not pictured are my RC10T, RC10GT, RC10T2, RC10T3 trucks, TC3 touring car and the RC10 Edinger that is new in box, and the NIB cadillac I have. Also one more edinger that I haven't started to restore yet (very dirty only). I think that's all of them.

Today is a good time to update this Curtis Edinger post. The vision I had for this body back in 2010, where I posted photoshopped images of it with a black painted roll-cage, netting and fog lights has finally come to a close, as I caught my 2nd wind and got brave enough to do this to that historic body painted by Curtis Husting back in the early 80's, that came with this early no stamp buggy.
This is the photoshopped image I did and placed on this thread back in 2010 of what my vision for this body would be.


Now here we are in Aug 2020, amidst the Covid-19 crisis and with plenty of time on my hands, I finally made that vision a reality.

In particular, could you tell us about what you might remember regarding how qualified for the race, how you prepared for the race, and how Your setup changed throughout the course of the event?

For over a year now, I have wanted to do a hybrid replica paint I envisioned between my Curtis Husting Edinger paint scheme, and the Winning Edge video RC10. I then put my idea into photoshop to see if it would look like something I would want and after adding some thin black trim lines, flat black roll cage, netting, etc.. I was happy with the results and proceeded to purchase what I needed to try and fulfill this vision for one of my No-Stamp Early Edinger RC10's that did not have a painted body or wing, but did have the metalized chrome wheels on it. The metalized chrome wheels would tie it into the Winning Edge Video RC10 buggy nicely.

Due to all of the extra time we have with Covid-19, I am getting close to completing it. I have painted the fog lights already but still have to do the driver figure paint.
What I am in need of, is if anyone has this type of #4 decals and the white circles from my photoshop image. If so let me know, otherwise I will be hand cutting them myself once I can acquire the materials.

That body turned out simply amazing, really captures the essence of the era! Is that some sort of coated screen material you used for the netting?

The window netting is from a job I had done to my pool enclosure. I wanted pet resistant screen material for my screened in pool enclosure area, the material is much stronger than regular pool enclosure and this little bit I have is also larger square size. Small enough to prevent mosquito's and flies from entering, and strong enough to prevent animals easily scratching through it.
