Have you tried to get in contact with Tomohiro Hirai?
I'm sure he would be enthralled with your build! He may even be able to help you find the correct electronics!
Do you have a better picture/scan of the original car? I can't enlarge the one in your first post!
I have not. I googled his name to see what info popped up but I couldn't really find anything and other than that I really have no idea how to find someone since I don't do the Facepage thing- but it would be cool for him to see it once it's done too! (although there is one major detail I would like to leave unknown about his car) This image was from Atlas here and that was a better one than what was in the scans archive but it's the best I have or can find-

I went to the local hobby lobby and got some of that colored foam stuff that kids make things like 3d boats, sun visors etc and made it from that. I looked and tried to find that "abc racing parts" or something made them and it was specific item but I don't think it was-

After a long search ( I really hate Japanese language packs

) a member here has located and given me a potentially correct Atlas' 12 double

So a little closer still! Should have some more updates before Jay finishes his RC10

I love looking at pics of this car. The yellow chassis and white parts have a unique but cool look.

very cool car!
Front tyres are not exactly those, they used TF270 (really rare nowdays) and not cut tyres or anything like most people thing. I have a pair

Rare like AE6319 or 6323 NIP? Do you have reference pic for the TF27, that seems easy in yokomo 2WD tires to be used in 93' but maybe I'm crazy?

Reg, are the rear turnbuckles supposed to be with the hex section (not sure what the technical name for is for that part where you place the wrench) on the outer or inner side? I tried zooming in on the scan on the first page and it looks like it's on the inside and you have them on the outside. I'm sure you have some other scans to go by.
