I was asking why 10T arms? Why not just use B4 arms? I mean, it seems like that is the ultimate goal right?

I suppose B4 arms/suspension on a goldie will happen one day soon. For now keep it more old school with the T arms and I will mill a B4 trans mount/rear arm mount (dual pin setup since no one makes it). I will get pics for sure when it's done!

It crossed my mind to ask Dynotech how much it would cost to get all of a B4's arms, transmission case, and bulkheads made in their white nylon so that I could build a B4 off an aftermarket aluminum chassis reanodized gold. Was going to call the project "What's New is Old."

I know I couldn't afford it though.

I personally think that if you have to cut a tub, its a waste of a tub regardless of what for... I keep thinking that I'm going to do a RPM Worlds Conversion... but so far I haven't been able to bring myself to cut a new tub.

cutting a tub to install an rpm worlds conversion is completely different than cutting one to install b4 parts. meaning one is ok and the other isn't, and i'm sure everyone can figure out which is which. but that's just my opinion.

For some that don't have an over abundance of tubs laying around, it's a little different.

10t, b4 arms... either for me seems silly to hack a chassis... Unless the chassis is already wrecked and it doesn't matter.

i'm honestly not trying to start with you with this, just curious......

did you cut the holes in this tub to mount the a&l trailing arm kit or did you buy it like that? if you did, then why is it so hard to cut a tub for the worlds setup?

The bottom of that chassis is scratched and there is an extra hole drilled in it that you cannot see in that pic.

ah. but either way, it shouldn't matter. new tubs are not hard to find, and if you aren't impatient, can be had for a decent price when you wait for it.

all i'm getting at is a new tub isn't rare. you're not destroying something that will never come around again.

I can see both sides to the story. Since an old aluminum tub isn't that hard to come by, especially tubs that have been heavily scratched up, I don't see the problem with cutting it up for another project. A new is old build based on that chassis but B4 parts could actually be pretty neat. I don't think I'd d it to a chassis that is in very good to mint condition though.

To each his own...give me a NIP chassis and a rpm template and there would be alot of aluminum dust around it by the time I got done
