Started to paint the body!
Read a few articles on how to paint hard body shell which some I did not follow
1. wash with soap and warm water (done)
NOTE: "warm the cans of spray up so that they spray better. Use mug filled
with hot water and I soak the can until it’s warm to the touch. It goes with out saying;
make sure you shake the can up so that the contents will be thoroughly mixed before
spraying (writter Shodog)".
2. apply primer (done)
3. lightly sand the body and apply primer again (2 to 3 times)
(i applied 3 times without sanding, too lazy and no time to do that
)
4. apply masking tape, then paint with dark color first (or the other way around, I forgot, painting is not my cup of tea
), sand and wash the body shell then apply paint again (sigh! thats too much time and I do not have that, I stop reading and paint the body the fastest way I can
)
The paint Im intended to use.
Primer paint applied 3x
Camel Yellow applied
Matt Black applied
Done without sanding the body (hope I will not regret it =)
Next silver color for the grill (next week)

Very nice build and the step by step is top notch! I just went through each page to see what you did different. I also went with the GPM and Junfac doodad's for mine as well.
I should mention another way to lock the front diff with out all the sticky goo is too move one of the spider gears in the front diff Y piece that the spider gears slip onto. All you do is take one of the gears off the shaft and line it up between the other 2 spiders and carefully seat it back into the diff housing. Screw it together and you have a completely locked diff that is easily reversable if you ever want to run an open diff again. This will lock it up tight.
Looking forward to seeing this finished with the Jeep body installed.

You don't by chance have a cheat sheet from the screws you used do you? Sizes, quantities etc?

Aside for waterproofing issue this ESc do not have a lipo cut off which is not good for the safety of the lipo.
This appears to be a Tamiya TEU-104BK ESC - which Tamiya advertises as:
"equipped with a battery cut-off function to prevent over-discharging of the battery"

I use both the TEU-104BK and the older TEU-101BK, I find them to work great in all applications.
The older TEU-101BK did not have any voltage cut-off function...

Kinda like when you light-up the front tires in an import car (rice burner?) and it just keeps going straight even with the steering wheel cocked all the way to one side. You can only do proper donuts in Reverse gear...
Anyhow, with an open front diff in the Hummer, it will turn around in a relatively small circle.

Wow, nice job with the painting. Painting those hard-shell bodies on the exterior is not for the faint-of-heart. Looks great!

Some photos update of the CC01 build.
Head/back light, jack , side mirror, spare tire case and etc.
I've painted silver for the side mirror, red in jack, while back light in silver, white, red and orange.
