Thanks JK. Safe to say it is not a rebuildable motor. I should have looked at it more closely before buying another one. I'll probably tape over the bearing on the endbell in hopes of getting a little more life out of the motor.

The new 3300 Reedy is now installed! I snatched the SV2 out of my pan car and was ready to give it a go. What!? Smaller bullet connectors? Argh, back to the hobby shop. One day this car will run.

LMAO...foil is too expensive, just wedge it in there and run a wood screw down the side, little black tape and call it done

So I am sitting here thinking why would Reedy change the size of the bullet connectors on the motor. The shot motor plugged in to the SV2, why won't this one?

Probably because the shot motor HAD ADAPTER BULLET CONNECTORS!

Lipos and a transformer for the charger are on the way. Russ, I have you in my sights!!!

I was messing with a Reedy 550 can motor last night...guess what? 3.5mm bullet plugs on it

Reedy RTR motors must all have the small plugs from the start.

ditch the bullets and hardwire.

these motors dont have solder tabs, just "hard" wires coming out of them (not even the flex wire we normally use)

HA, me and you both. I hope there are no serious racers in the bomber class.

The bombers at SS Hobbies ran like scalded dogs. They were flawless. The only one having trouble was an old rc10 with a graphite chassis. He was running the b4 front and rear rims. As a result, he had a very light, very narrow car. I suggested he check out the Phoenix rims.

Kaiser, I always hard wire my brushed motors... never saw a reason for a connector. JK is right on, the Reedy motors are pretty cheap. I wouldn't buy another. The leads are like working with 12-3 residential wiring. No fun soldering. No grommet around the wires to the can either... you can basically pour dirt in the motor. I don't think taping the bearing on the endbell will be much help.

Most of the racers were having a good time. The only "serious" one in the class seemed to be one of those "70East RC" guys. You may have seen them at SS. Most of their cars are light blue/white with 44 on them....Anyway, he couldn't outrun me. And once I get the fine tuning and practice done, we'll see how it works out....I know I still need work, but it's something to shoot for.
