LRM Gears:
Top row: "light" gears. Dark, almost black plastic. The pic is not good here, but there is small number 1 molded "at 4 o'clock".
Middle row: "normal" gray gears with bigger number 1 molded "at 3 o'clock"
Bottom row: Same as above but no numbers pressed.
XX rear shock tower (factory hand made proto tower):
Top: Standard rear shock tower, nothing special in it.
Bottom: The tower is from proto XX car from the 93 worlds (see eg. Joel Johnson's car pics from that race RCCA article) and very similar tower can be seen in very early XX promo pics from eg. RCCA magazines (the front shock tower in this early promo car is also not the same as in production car). The 4 screw holes in middle area are for additional plastic? wing mount and wing wire marks can be seen next to those screw holes.
How are those 5 upper shock mounting screws compared to standard tower? See pic below. Both towers are in line and 4 outermost holes are exactly the same and 5th hole inside is in same arc as others.
XX rear hub carriers (factory machined proto parts?):
Bottom: Standard XX 2.5-degree toe in rear hub carriers. These, 2.5-degree toe in hub carriers, have two marks in front bottom below the outer hinge pin hole. There is "L" and "R" molded to these on front side to a little circle.
Top: There is some modifications on these hubs:
- Some upper suspension arms holes have been redrilled to little different locations.
- Lower hinge pin hole seems to have different toe angle, since the hole is not in middle as they are in standard hubs
- The circle where "should be" "L" and "R" are empty.
Another pic from these hubs:
Top: Standard XX 2.5 degree rear hub carriers again
Bottom: Both hubs have hand made numbers in them (upside down): "0*" (=degrees) and "220". Also the surface of outer hinge pin have been sanded.
XX Front arms (factory hand machined proto arms):
These arms are probably from 95 worlds. They made the front end a little narrower. Material have been moved to make room for front hub carrier, but not enough so material have to be removed also from front hub carrier. I can give dimensions and better pics if someone is doing someday a replica of XX car from that race.
