I don't think those are the ones as they only have the center rib not two.

Last night I'm looking around in the dungeon, kind of assessing what all I have going on down there. There are a stack of current projects on the work bench. Then there are the ones off to the side that haven't been out of the totes in awhile. That would include this one. I got kinda stumped on how I wanted to finish this off. At the end of the day I want to have a nice car, but the plastics I started with really aren't the best, and neither was the chassis. And for me, if the chassis isn't super nice there is no reason to throw a bunch of new or mint parts at it.
So I decided, just because I want it done, to continue on the path I was taking. Stick with the parts I have on it and dig up the rest of the stuff I need..... hopefully in similar condition. So I think I have enough usable full hex ball cups, I have more than enough shock hardware, found a pair of 25* castor blocks, inline knuckles with hex axle, nose brace and wing tubes, steering bellcrank parts, hinge pins, etc. Also, looking at the pics of the actual car, It seemed to me that Cliff used Yokomo ball studs on the suspension parts. You can see they are black, and slightly longer than the short AE ball studs. I happened to have a package of them so that's what I used.
I also noticed that Cliff tapered the ribs on the top of the rear arms. So I did that quick and threw the arms back in the black dye.
I have an M1c esc, but it's slightly newer and the wires do not exit in the correct location. The one i need i have set aside for my NIX91. So I'll have to find one sometime. I have the receiver, have a 7 cell 1700sce stick pack, and have a scoopless Turbo Mirage to paint for it too. Got to check through the boxes for wheels/tires.

Another masterpiece in the making; no doubt about it. And I fully appreciate your relentless attention to detail. Everything's done perfectly and historically accurate. Nice
Noob question: how does one acquire an "scoopless" Turbo Mirage body? All of mine have scoops.

I've had a single olive drab AE spring forever waiting to find it's mate. I didn't go to the track today, so I ended up doing some clean-up on and around my main workbench. Looking through boxes i haven't opened in awhile, putting stuff that's been sitting out
into boxes...... stuff like that. Well in doing so, I found it's long lost love.

Now I just have to find a pair for the front.
And I dug out the tires and cleaned up a set of wheels. I need to spend a bit more time trying to get that mold release crap off of the tires.

If you’re interested, I have more of the anodized shock caps like I used on my replica. They’re not a 100% match to the ones on Cliffs car, but better then none.

Well it's been 4 1/2 years so how are we looking on this one?

I won't say never. But you have to realize I started a replica of a Masami rc10 like 6 years before this one..... and it's not done yet either.
I'm actually surprised I haven't sold them off by now.

I realized tonight that I did actually move this build along since the last chassis pics. Turnbuckles and ball cups are on. I also had a pair of AE universals chrome plated and installed. Oh, and the nose tubes.
