I knew it just like I mentioned. 2 different kits (mid and rear motor). Now when is it available and where are the body off shots.

Is it just more or do the front hub carriers look extremely big. I mean its almost filling the entire wheel.

Shock towers look different, and yes, much larger front hubs. Probably for larger bearings. Hope they post some body off shots soon.

Front A-arms look longer. Either that or the bumper looks really narrow.
And the arms look different between cars.

Dayum, pretty cool (more so with a better body). I like the mid motor option and glad I didn't get a Centro conversion, and thanks for the callout on the front hub carriers; I went back and looked at the pics, those things are HUGE.
Interesting that the movement to aluminum chassis is gaining momentum.
Edit: the B4.2 I've been trying to sell just dropped even further in value.

I am wondering if the hubs are huge because maybe they could be used either Left or Right?

I'm glad I didn't go out and buy a Centro kit. After looking at the picture for a bit, I see a few of the parts that are different between the 2 aside from the body. Front arms and shock tower, rear bulkhead and shock tower and from the way AE words the little detail they give it almost sounds like only the mid motor has an aluminum chassis. Hope that's no the case.

I was really hoping to see something that was different but all I am seeing is another version of the B4. Don't get me wrong the B4 was/is a great buggy but I was hoping for something completely new.
The castor blocks resemble the 91 Stealth car castors by looking at the pics. The hinge pin sits near the middle of the castor VS the bottom. Hopefully they will provide more detailed pictures in the near future of the changes.

Well, I really think that they're were trying to improve what the B4 series wasn't so good at while still maintaining what it was already good at.
It's really hard to reinvent the wheel just for the sake of re-inventing the wheel.
Remember, AE didn't have a whole lot of success w/ the sc10 4x4. Sometimes when you try to be innovative it can come up and bite you.

If you are going to throw another spin at the B4, why create such a buzz over a new car being released, when essentially it is another B4 IMO. When a company stops being innovative they die...

I don't think Im a fan of having to get 2 separate cars... This might make a decision easier to buy a Kyosho or TLR... Or Durango for that matter. Will have to wait and see I guess.

Sean, I am there with you. I have been holding off on getting a new buggy because this was close to be released.
I have heard really good things about the 22 2.0 which I am looking into now.

Now that it looks like more of a b4.5 than a new buggy, I can take my money and invest in parts for my existing buggies. I guess I will have to wait for the b6 in 2023.

Congrats on the release of the B5 - now it´s possible for AE enthusiasts to get a buggy that´s allmost as ugly as the RB6.
They should have looked more to the TwentyTwo
