I tried to source some 12mm hex adapters from that one dude that made a limited run. He is our and won't be making more. I tried to just bolt up the aluminum wheels by friction, but this four pole motor laughed and laughed. Back to the drawing board....but this thing is damn fast on only a 2s Lipo.

Hotrodvw -

I´m not sure what Your goal is, but if You just want to mount 12mm hex wheels on Your Scorpion, buy a 2014 set of rear axles?

My kit is a 2014 Re-Re. What parts are you referring to?

ahhhaaaaa! For me I can not deicde what color to do my beetle :x. For the vintage body, I have decided - british racing green, for this not sure, was thinking mate black, was thinking yellow, red etc. I think rarely seen a yellow SS, and surely not on a kyosho scorp chassins, it looks retro, resembles the kyoaho beetle very well!

I might just go with navy blue!! not sure again, yesterday did 3 vintage license plates, colored them royal blue - airbrushed, really cool outcome. Got my richpen 312B, will try that out soon enough.

can anyone tell me what paint to apply on the body, I think it should not be polycarbonate, right? On the license plate, I tried embrol enemal based paint, worked fine

If painting clear lexan, use the Fascolor paints, they're water based too.
If painting a styrene hard body, use the Tamiya paints.

Ok, so any tamiya paint will work? I will maybe go check out the type specified in the SS re-re manual if they have it mentioned, yes, I will be using tamiya paint, defiantly for the body, need to buy transparent orange and red for the lenses.

Loving my airbrushes right now and planning to build a 3 gallon compressor and tank setup in the future, right now I have a binks diaphragm compressor.

And yes did I compliment on your beetle, it is nice!

Just triple check that the paint is compatible.

Actually, no. Tamiya makes many kinds of spray paints. Most of what you'll find in the hobby store is for ABS plastic, like the hard bodies and plastic models and such. Then there's their polycarbonate (Lexan) paint, which is totally different. Usually hobby stores have this stuff in a different rack, but I've seen both sold adjacent and sometimes the two get mixed up in the rack. Just make sure you buy the one that's meant for polycarbonate RC bodies, it'll say so on the can. Use the other kind only for hard plastic bodies & models. I believe the paint for ABS hard plastic is enamel, and will dry hard; it'll flake off if painted on a flexible Lexan body. Polycarbonate RC paint bonds to the Lexan and won't flake or chip when the body bends.

Thanks coelacanth, so for tamiya sand scorcher body, polycarbonate is a no go. I heard this from a hobby shop owner, saying that those pair will react with the styrilne plastic, ok meant to buy some paint, but first trying to order some airbrush vital parts.

Rc stuff is really fun, painting is easy when you are just doing one color, no masking or anything
