Oh crap, thanks Joey!!!
Guess I'll blast up and down the street a bunch as an initial test then, see if I see any signs of wear.

Last night I finally tried these puppies out!

Here's the assembly going into the RC10M transmission

And all together

Since my local track was closed last night, I blasted up and down the street for about 5 minutes, full throttle then full brake, repeatedly, doughnuts, all the abuse I could throw at them. Then I did many many full throttle to full brake cycles on the bench at full droop to see if I could chip or mess up the ends of the drive pin slots. So far so good! No obvious wear or damage, no mushrooming, no nothing.

Hopefully next week I'll make it to the track and abuse it some more and see how they look, but so far it seems promising!

This is really cool. Someone somewhere is swimming through their factory Stealth outdrive bin like Scrooge MacDuck. Great solution. Let's hope these hold up to a WOT landing on a high-bite track. Like you said, promising.

Hopefully I'll be out at the track tomorrow night abusing these! I'll report back how it goes.

In the meantime, I have a new option that I'll be making available to you guys soon. See thread here http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=42142

For the printed ones, I think that other than durability testing, I'm going to shift my focus on making extended length versions that will work better with the World's CVAs, since I'll be offering stock machined ones in steel and aluminum. At this point the only use for printed ones will be to do design changes like extended lengths.

Did anything ever become of the 3d printed designs? Is an STL or a shapeways link available? I see at one time that there were some steel an aluminum parts made, but the 3d printed parts sounded like they worked well enough for the purpose of keeping rc10's running.

Hey there. Sorry, I never went any further with these, too many other projects.
Is it still nearly impossible to get the AE ones, or have they become available again?

Dynotech makes proper (likely better than oem) replacements for $50/pr on eBay

I saw that there was one last pair. What I saw was aluminum and I have concerns about the longevity for general bashing.
I may have a shelf build lined up as 3rd in my queue where that should be ok, but steel is my first choice.

They are hardened steel unless he offers two versions. There will be more listed I’m sure, as it’s a business.

For those of us happening along on this, 2.25 is for the stock constant velocity + dogbone on the re-re-release (and maybe the b3)?

If so, I'll be able to get two!
