Hey lavigna I just wanted to let you know that I got your PM but I am not sure if mine is working yet or not since I am new. It is showing in my outbox but not my sent box, just let me know if you received it.

If the message is in the outbox still, that just means he hasn’t seen it. Once he sees it, it will move

Hi, and hello to everyone at RC10talk, I’m new to this forum, came across it researching the Kyosho Turbo Burns.
Loving this thread, it spurred me on to buy one which I’d been looking at for a while.
If I can get it halfway looking like the examples shown, I will be more than happy, absolutely stunning.
I will post a few pictures later on, any tips and advice would really be appreciated.
If anyone has any parts they are looking to part with, that would be good too.
Would love a new chassis to start with, as the previous owner has drilled holes in it to mount a different engine.

Just bought an OS Max RG to fit in the TB.
I don’t have any engine mounts, will I need the BS-25 or the FM-160, or are they in fact the same?
Also, what header and pipe should I be going for?

Should I be posting in this thread, or is there a more general area I should be asking these questions.
Thanks.

Hey Lavigna, Fireboy on Ebay had the BSW 1 for sale, he had 2 and was asking for $50 per gear, Pfft what did I tell you an arm and a leg for a $17 part...I guess someone bought them no longer available...I was going to link the sale, but thought maybe your are no longer interested...Seems like the buggy is finished anyways..

I guess I was wrong anyways sold 1...https://www.ebay.com/itm/BSW-1-Drive-Bevel-Gear-S-BS-14-Upgrade-Kyosho-Burns-Inferno-Nitro-USA-1/401501720829?hash=item5d7b5e10fd:g:i~sAAOSw301abmLj

I have been watching those auctions as well. I actually found one that had a single BSW1 for $24. I bought it, but have not received it yet. I am curious to see how it compares to what I have already.

One BSW-1 down, one more still to go. I didn't want to tear down my buggy to confirm, but I think this piece is the same as what I already have. The BSW-2 are clearly different from what I have.

I finally got the electronics I wanted, and installed them. I am still tinkering with the linkage setup, and looking for a different round servo horn.

Once I find another BSW1, I will change both ends over to BSW1 and BSW2 hardened gears. I also will swap out the spur gear for a BSW19 metal unit while I have it apart.

Along with the above changes, I just need to get the body painted. Still unsure of the color choice though.

Sorry to photo overload. I just want to try and show some of the detail in the car.

You are crazy to run it with a AM radio can almost guarantee a runaway situation you need fail safe get a PCM radio or use 2.4 GHZ for at least a 1000 yards.

You are crazy to think I would run it, lol. I built it to be a pristine example. I wanted everything to be period correct. In the time period of this buggy, Airtronics was the elite radio brand.

I hope to someday find a nice used TB that I can run a little. I would like to know what these are like to drive.

Thanks, but I am NOT going to run this car. It is an expensive paperweight. A shiny rock. An intricate dust collector. A space taker. Shelf jewelry. I appreciate all your input, but you are not hearing me when I say it's NOT a runner.

I am very familiar with AM, FM, Fail Safes, and 2.4 radio systems. I chose this Airtronics system because it is cool looking, and correct vintage. I do not care if it even works.

Still hoping to see another TB build thread from someone else...
