Thank you - can you please help a non-american member and explain what C6000 Clear is, and if possible post a link to this? I need a cubic meter (proving I'm not local to this forum  ) of this thing if this works as you describe!

Thanks,
Paul

I cheated just a little, i put the engine from the "mint" car in while i am waitn on that crankshaft, hopefully have it tommorrow. (No i am not gonna start this engine)
I also borrowed the front body mount while i fabricate one for this car. I really want to to make a bumper mount glow igniter like the original. I will see what i can come up with. Shock parts will be in today for the "mint" cars shocks which i will borrow for the basket case until my new shocks arrive from japan. It will be on all four tires later today!

Well, I know what it looks like! I'm not sure if they named it after that though... Sorry everybody, I'm a 3rd grader.

If you go to Lowe's or Home Depot they have these slider drawer cabinets in the hardware aisle with all kinds of oddball fasteners and springs in there. That may be your best bet if no one knows.

Make sure those stickers are really stuck down good or you will get bleeding 8)

I used a hair dryer to warm them up after they were applied and pressed them good. The quality of these decals are off the hook. Great adhesion. The pinstripe not as good. If it bleeds i can go over outside of body.

The left crank is the one i needed, with the tit on it, the right one is the original cz-r non pullstart crank.
The engine ran perfect. Obviously its new so i had it set pretty rich. I ran 3 tanks thru it on the driveway just babying and running an oval checking temps, never went over 208 degrees. It did want to wheely if i stabbed off idle, so once its leaned out gonna need weight up front.
Couldnt believe i was driving it, engine never missed a beat after i got the needles set. got roughly 50hrs in the restoration. I wasnt driving on these original tires. Gonna get some good pics hopefully tommorrow for Marches "build of the month contest". I got part of the bumper glow igniter made. Spring on the way for other side. The pic below is after the 3 tanks today, once i switched the wheels back

WOW! Just read this whole thread with interest. Excellent skills you have!
I have my Kyosho Stinger MKII torn down to the last screw on my bench at the moment. I remember the day I bought it, the Assault was the other nitro option in the store. My dad would not buy me an electric (which is what I wanted), so I made him pay by picking the most expensive one of the two.
I'll be posting about the Stinger as soon as I get some pics.
Unfortunately my CZ-2 seems to have no compression left in it. I'll be dismantling it again to check if the piston goes through the sleeve (tip from my LHS which I didn't know about).
