Weird, when I looked at Amain earlier this afternoon, it said it was sold out and the "Add To Cart" button was grayed out. That's probably when they were updating the listing to remove the coupon!

They should make a 4wd TC builder's version with the white plastic and gold chassis. I never noticed how adjustable the apex chassis was. It's actually pretty cool looking and I'd use it for VTA racing if you could get the fdr low enough for a 25.5 motor.

It's interesting. I'd be more interested if it had room for rally tires so you could actually get to the track with your RC10 on a trailer. It would also be neat as a 4wd rally with an axle delete. I was intrigued by the rally conversion sales AE was running on the Apex, since it has centre diff capabilities. As it sits, it's a tough sell for me, although I really like the white and gold.

The decision to go with the RC10 paint scheme plus the gold pan/white nylon is a brilliant marketing move. Most in the vintage community would not have paid any attention to this release otherwise. I think they will sell quite a few more than if they had gone with the standard street basher all black chassis/modern paint scheme.

Apex2 Hoonitruck Builder's Kit #30136 is very similar to the new 6x6 kit, is $70 cheaper, and has full bearings.
Think the 6x6 will have bearings?
