Thanks guys.
I appreciate the comments.
I think I'll take a couple more photos and send one to RCCA to see what happens.
I'd still like to eventually build a full size replica of this one.
My '69 street Bug is still patiently waiting....

Sent this to RCCA today,
It's on their website under "Reader's Rides".
I'm not sure if it'll make the cut for the magazine, but I'm pretty happy with how the picture turned out.
Their submission process is a bit confusing, I noticed a pic I had sent in awhile back, but had no idea it had uploaded.
There is no way the prior group photo would have made it under the format it was uploaded in...way too grainy..

No kidding, I sent them a question about the format they wanted once but never got an answer. The magazine just mentions the expected resoltution but no dimensions

If they just told us X by Y pixels, that's all we need to know. The dpi just determines how large it will come out on print as a result and they could set it to anything they like.
The picture is cool, but I liked the other one a little better: a bit of skyline in the back and a lower angle makes it look more as a 1/1

I actually sent (e-mailed this time) them a couple pictures in case they were interested. That view was one of the pics I had sent. I wanted to show the front bumper detail with the turn lamps lit, as it was one my favorite parts of the project. I like the typical cliche' 3/4 front view, it shows of a little more of the wheel & tire detail.

Awesome....
I haven't heard anything certain regarding a "Readers Ride" entry yet, but when surfing the net the other day, I checked out Car Action's website for the heck of it.
I was checking out the blogs & I found this under "Associated B2 Scaler":
http://blogs-rccaraction.com/profile_blogs/Paul_Onorato/
I had no idea it was posted.
Even if it doesn't make the "Reader's Rides", I'm pretty stoked!

Wow this turned out nice. I especially like the lil buggy that you have strapped to the roof.

Thanks.
I got one of those shrunken Tamiya RC buggies after these picture were taken and swapped it out. I'm hoping they'll release the mini Sand Scorcher soon too.
I got the micro Boomerang for Father's Day. I've been eyeing the mini Rough Rider on E-Bay lately..
The scale almost looks close to what a HPI Baja would be.
There is a couple pics of it on the: And you thought your Lunchbox was small...posting in the Tamiya forum.
